There is a type of style that stays just that...a sandal one either likes or not. I am drawn to the Birkenstock shoe. I have these in every color and am now buying the newer styles too. BUT the classic Birkie is one that I enjoy. I have owned Birkies for years and these wear well. I do like the brown suede color too. Although I now need to close the buckles at the smallest notch so my next pair I might need to buy the narrow width.

I am 77 years old. I do not have to worry about tripping or stumbling in these, as my foot bed is solid and there is a lot of support. In the past, I found the leather was too stiff in some styles, but now I stick to suede, and I couldn't ask for a better shoe.
